My name is Brian Galaviz and I’m a guitarist based in Williamsburg, VA. I currently work as an active duty musician in the United States Air Force Band and Hampton University as the guitar instructor. I also gig with commercial and jazz groups in the area and teach privately, offering lessons for guitar, bass, music theory, and improvisation.
I’ve had the privilege of leading masterclasses at colleges and high schools along the east coast, and I’m dedicated to helping students of all levels grow and build the skills they need to reach their goals. I focus on creating a space where students can explore their creativity, improve their technique, and most importantly, have fun along the way.
Prior to my military service, I received a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.
